Noel Suarez: Not a Retrospective
The Noel Suarez exhibition Not a Retrospective celebrates one of Miami Beach’s most distinctive artistic voices. Presented at the Art Deco Museum, the exhibition highlights the imagination, elegance, color, and energy that characterize Suarez’s work.
His artistic practice spans decades and reflects a continually evolving creative vision. Rather than presenting a conventional retrospective, the exhibition celebrates the vitality of Suarez’s ongoing career and his enduring connection to Miami Beach.
Suarez’s work combines expressive forms, bold visual language, and a distinctive sense of theatricality. These qualities have helped define his artistic voice and give his work an immediately recognizable presence.
Through works spanning different periods of his career, Not a Retrospective invites visitors to explore the evolution of Suarez’s practice. The exhibition also captures the spontaneity, personality, and creative energy that continue to shape his work today.
Located in the heart of the Miami Beach Architectural Historic District, the Art Deco Museum explores the design, history, and culture of Miami Beach. Exhibitions and public programs connect the city’s architectural heritage with the artists, designers, and cultural voices that continue to shape the community.
Noel Suarez: Not a Retrospective is on view at the Art Deco Museum beginning June 4, 2026. Visitors are invited to experience the exhibition during regular museum hours.
